Back story: Ursa was born to a pretty loving family, to old(er) parents. Accident child, maybe? But they loved her. As far as she could tell, her mother died of natural causes when she was twelve, and her father when she was fifteen. All she has left of them are memories of reading stories, and a locket that she wears around her wrist. Ursa was thirteen when she found Winnie, her bear. She killed the guy who was hurting her. Ursa wasn't doing it for the bear, but just so he’d stop. But that little cub bonded to Ursa, and they’ve been basically inseparable since. One of the books she read, Winnie-the-Pooh, was inspiration for the name of her bear. But her father told her she had to take care of Winnie, too, and there came her passion for learning all about medicine, animals, and bear anatomy. As long as Winnie's safe, Ursa's happy. And as long as Ursa's safe, Winnie's happy.
